Yo,
Last nite was parking car at Blk 10 level 3 multi-storey carpark, and this is what I saw! I cannot believe it, so terrible of people to do such things to another’s car, no respect what so ever. See the pictures I attached? All these cars are sprayed with paint and scratched, my god! Hope you can forward this email to all our neighbours to warn them that vandals are around and making trouble for us!! &*#^$% one!
Hope everyone can be on the lookout for each other and inform suspicious characters in our neighbourhoods. Oh yah, you know that policeman Pete right? Maybe you can check with him on any tips for us when parking our cars?
PS: Check out the crime-prevention posters I snapped last week, you think they work meh?

the question of are there any ways to stop vandalism is still being a quesstion mark

An incident on vandalism

Reported on 28-1-2010

Last year on this same date and month, Mrs Vejaya who is married and has 2 children reported to the police regarding an incident on vandalism.

She says that she was heading back home from her workplace and the incident took place at her voideck. She saw a group of guys looking very tensed and was trying to break bicycles locks. When the guys saw her walking towards them, all of them just escape by taking two bicycles which is not theirs. As hammers and spanners were found in the floor.

Mrs Vejaya questionned herself that if it was their own bicycle, why didn't they just use a key to unlock it. Being a quiet person in nature, she did the right way of reporting to the police.
I'm not sure whether the person who did this video is telling the truth by puting up words in the video like "THIS IS MY OWN BIKE" . But still it's a perfect example on how people break locks

Here are some tips from the ploice force :

If crime happened
  1. Inform and report to the Police immediately
  2. Snap pictures of evidences to provide efficient report
  3. Organize a citizen patrolling system

Police Actions

The Police Force took notice of these vandalism cases, and had increased crime awareness towards the public by putting up posters around the neighborhood bus stops and MRT stations, hoping to create awareness for the citizens in crime prevention in, but question being raised by many, “Do you think these posters work?”
